Le Gangbé Brass Band a été créé en 1994 par les artistes musiciens de père en fils, virtuoses de leurs instruments à vent mêlés de percussions hypnotiques. Il s’agit d’une fanfare : mais le Gamgbé est plus que cela. Il est l’un des grands symboles de l’ Afrique de l’Ouest, et sur la planète, de la famille des grands brass bands . Applaudi dans les plus grands festivals, y compris en Amérique, il est à la fois musique originelle, blues et jazz. Toujours sur la route il a participé à des voyages comme celui de Tombouctou, au Festival au Désert, où il a croisé la route du Ali Farka Touré Band et de Terakaft, ou prochainement la «Peace Caravan» en Afrique de l’Ouest, pour laquelle il a été choisi tant pour sa musique que pour son identité forte
The Gangbé Brass Band was created in 1994 by musician artists from father to son, virtuosos of their wind instruments mixed with hypnotic percussion. It is a brass band: but the Gangbé is more than that. He is one of the great symbols of West Africa, and on the planet, of the family of great brass bands. Applauded in the biggest festivals, including in America, it is both original music, blues and jazz. Always on the road, he took part in trips such as that of Timbuktu, at the Festival au Désert, where he crossed paths with the Ali Farka Touré Band and Terakaft, or soon the "Peace Caravan" in West Africa, for which he was chosen both for his music and for his strong identity
